Jenn is my long time friend since around 2001 or so. Funny story, I didn’t like her when we first met, but once I got over my self and I got to know her I realized how much fun she is. I’m pretty sure that God has something huge planned for us, He keeps bringing us together for awesome things. Like the fact that we are most obnoxious when we are together, or that our kids are exactly 30 days apart (we have arranged for their marriage when they turn 25, JK), or the fact that no matter how much time passes we can always pick up where we left off, or that we are pretty much there for each other no matter what even when we don’t want anyone around, or that we know each other way too well but still love each other like sisters.
So with Jenn being my BFF and having seen some of the “gentlemen” she’s gone through in the past, I have some pretty high standards for what would be the perfect person for her. I mean, we all know that I’m the leading authority on finding the perfect mate. My romantic history proves this point. Well, my latest relationship says so, maybe not all the others, but we aren’t going to talk about that. Anyway, high standards. Jenn must have the best. I met Craig for the first time the day before my wedding, so I didn’t really get to know him then. I was really excited that I got to hang out with them more on another one of their trips to Austin. That’s when I really got to see how they interacted and how much he dotes on Jenn. It’s amazing seeing him look at her with so much love and seeing that look in Jenn’s eyes too! I was so excited when Jenn told me that he proposed. I, of course, volunteered to do anything photography-wise for their wedding. So, last month I made a special trip back to west Texas to take these photos. We had a good time hanging out, though Connor (Jenn’s son) wasn’t too thrilled that I kept asking him to smile so much.
This one is my favorite of them. They both have such genuine smiles!
This is about the time that Connor stopped liking this photo shoot. You can see in the next one that he wouldn’t even look at me.
Thank goodness he got back into the mood, but I had let him do his own crazy ideas to get a good smile from.
Jenn and Craig are getting married in the Bahama’s in late July. Alyssa and I are so excited to be able to join them and help them celebrate their new family!
